Colossians 4 tells us to “Make the most of every opportunity.” Well, we like to make the most of our money, investing in a good stock portfolio, or buying a timeshare, but every morning you are handed twenty-four hours free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you could not purchase a single extra hour. So, what will you do with this priceless possession? Well, you must use it. Because once time is wasted, you cannot get it back. One day paintings by Matisse will peel and crack. The resale value on Mercedes-Benz cars will only be a few hundred dollars. Even silver and gold will perish. So instead, make the most of your eternal investment. Pray for an unsaved neighbor. Visit a nursing home. Volunteer at church. Ask forgiveness from someone you've offended. It’s a great way, an eternal way to use these 24 hours God is giving you today.
