Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Hannah, who has diabetes and chronic fatigue, has for years wanted to help others like herself who live with illnesses, but the truth is: it’s not easy when you’re sick yourself! But Hannah decided to make the effort—and not just any effort! Oh, my goodness, she flew halfway around the world, from Australia to Los Angeles, just to serve at our Joni and Friends headquarters! And she did it with a Colossians 3 attitude: whatever Hannah did—whether she was stuffing envelopes, encouragement notes, filing, making copies, she worked heartily for the Lord. That word ‘heartily’ literally means with full, happy-hearted effort. Oh friend, your body may not be in tiptop shape to do rigorous service—but you can serve God with all your heart and soul.
