If you’re feeling weak, bring it all to God and discover Christ’s power for you.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Does weakness discount you for leadership? In the past, I thought so. While still in high school, I was involved in many leadership roles: captain of girl’s lacrosse, on the student council; back then, leadership was a matter of persuasion, and power and influence. Then my diving accident happened. And I thought I’d never lead again. After all, what could a person with quadriplegia do? But God has a different definition of leadership. From the Bible, I learned that the leaders God chooses are more broken than strong. God even says in 2 Corinthians 12 that, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” That’s why, friend, we can boast all the more gladly about our weaknesses, so that Christ’s power might rest on us. That’s great advice if you are feeling weak today. Bring it to God and discover Christ’s power for you.
