Today, let faith fill your heart and then you can do great things.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and I remember when I first became a Christian, I thought that faith was, well, something that I did when I first became a Christian. Faith in Christ, to me, was the same as salvation. Once I did it, once I believed, the matter was concluded. I kept my nose clean; tried to do the right things, but I pretty much lived life in idle. Ah, but in time, I realized that my faith in Christ would not let me be idle. That’s because faith is an active, energetic, lively, and restless principle. It fills the heart and it will not be content unless it is doing something for Christ, whether worshiping him, serving him, confessing sins to him, singing or working for him, whatever! Look, friend, Hebrews 11 says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. So today let faith fill your heart; do great things through the energy of faith today and bring delight to the Savior.
