You are a burning bush unconsumed – and that is a beautiful sight!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. In Exodus 3, God spoke to Moses through a burning bush. The Bible says that when Moses saw the bush was not consumed by flames, he said, “I will go over and see this strange sight.” Moses caught sight of something totally unnatural, and it drew his attention. In the same way, Christians who suffer greatly, and yet graciously, cause the same curious response. They stand out as extraordinary. Especially to those who are curious about the Lord, like why doesn’t this person get angry with God? Why doesn’t she complain? I simply must find out! Friend, if you are suffering today, and your afflictions have not consumed you then you are a fiery bush that will not burn up, causing others [whether Christian or not] to marvel at God’s grace in your life! You, my friend, are a burning bush unconsumed. And that is a beautiful sight.
