One day, you will have a new, glorified body in heaven just like it says in Corinthians. You have so much to look forward to!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. I have lived a long time in this wheelchair and it’s why I often flip to 1 Corinthians 15 when my paralysis weighs me down. I’m always encouraged to read about the new, glorified bodies we will have in heaven. I know for sure my glorified body will be so much better than my earthly one. I don’t quite know what it will look like, or what I will be able to do, but that’s okay. I’m not supposed to understand everything on this side of eternity. The Bible says that you don’t sow the body that will be, but just a seed. And trying to understand what our bodies will be like in heaven is much like asking a caterpillar if he understands flying; or asking a coconut to grasp what it’s like to be a palm tree bending in the breeze; or asking a dirty flower bulb to appreciate what it means to be fragrant. What will be has not yet been made known. But I’ll tell you one thing, sitting in this wheelchair, I know it’s going to be fantastic.
