Seek out God and practice living right. It may not subdue all your pain, but it will reduce stress; plus result in a supernatural quietness in your heart and soul.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Do you deal with pain? Maybe from a broken ankle that never healed right or that twinge in your back that constantly nags? Well, I’ve got a remedy. And it may be almost as good, if not better, than ibuprofen. They say the best remedy for pain is anything that reduces stress and anxiety. And on this point, God's Word offers a great prescription. Isaiah 30 says that in quietness and trust is your strength. Elsewhere it says that living right before the Lord produces quietness, as well. Look, I understand chronic pain; I am your pain-pal. And today I'm asking you to join me in seeking out God and practicing right living – it may not subdue all your pain, but it will reduce stress plus result in a supernatural quietness in your heart and soul. And that is a great way to treat pain. And you can take it to the doctor! Check out our resources at joniandfriends.org.
