It sounds strange but thank your trials for enriching your life with your wealth of knowledge about Christ.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. I’m a big fan of Spurgeon and he once said “Thank God if you have been led by a rough road: it is this which has given you your experience of God’s greatness. Your troubles have enriched you with a wealth of knowledge [about Him] to be gained by no other means.” That’s so true. Because it’s only the heartbroken who experience God as the healer of broken hearts. It is only those who grieve who understand the depths of God’s comfort. You have to be in need to see God provide. You have to be weak to know that He is strong. Most of all, you have to know you are a sinner before you see him as a Savior. Philippians 1 says that it is “a privilege to not only trust Christ, but…to suffer for Him.” So don’t badmouth your trials. Your troubles have enriched you with a wealth of knowledge about Christ and you have your trials to thank for it.
