When you wake up in the morning, grab hold of one Bible promise and live on that promise all day.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And as I sit in this wheelchair, I tell you what, I love the promises of God. I mean, every morning, I focus on one promise. If I wake up feeling the crunch of suffering, I turn to Psalm 34, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Oh, man, what a promise when I get up in the morning and I’m hurting. God promises he’ll deliver me, all in his good time. And so, when afternoon arrives, I’m back at it, harkening to Psalm 34, asking God to deliver me out of all my afflictions, no matter how badly it hurts. And he always does. Living on a Bible promise a day is a great way to make it through to evening. So, when you wake up tomorrow morning, grab hold of a Bible promise and watch the Lord Jesus do a mighty work through his Word! Get excited about the promises of God! One a day will keep the blues away.
