If you’re feeling down, remember your redemption is drawing near. It’s the best reason to keep looking up!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And every morning when I wheel outside my house to go to Joni and Friends, I pause by the driveway to look up at the stately old cedars that line our property. These are evergreens, and no matter what the season, the tips of the branches all point straight up to the sky. With so many cedars, there must be 100 little tips; and whenever I feel discouraged, they all remind me to keep looking up, no matter how difficult my quadriplegia or pain may be. Even Jesus said in Luke 21, “…lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” I thank the Lord for opening up the eyes of my heart to see his lessons everywhere [even by my driveway] – and today, I ask you to do the same. Friend, God is the “lifter up” of your head. So, if you’re feeling down, remember your redemption is drawing near. And it’s the best reason to keep looking up.
