Inspire a spirit of unity among you and your friends today by encouraging them.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada asking, where will we go next with technology? I mean, just the other day I needed to ask a question of a friend at work. Well, rather than wheel by her office – which is right next to mine – I emailed her! Now, don’t get me wrong, I really do like having email capability on my iPhone, but if ever there were a culture when relationships need to be strengthened, it’s our culture, right? Romans 15 gives great advice for any Christian who has a smartphone or a Facebook page. It says, “May the God who gives encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus.” So, friend, today, inspire a spirit of unity among you and your friends with a little encouragement – and not by clicking the “send” button, but by getting up from your desk and going over to that cubicle. Because I think that’s what Jesus would do. He would build a relationship.
