Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And when it comes to working out his plan in our lives, God delightsin using lots of twists and turns. For instance, after 70 years in exile, the Israelites finally received permission from the king of Persia to rebuild the temple — but rebuilding it turned out to be harder than they thought. Because soon after they started, their enemies showed up with threats and vandalism. The bad guys even wrote a letter to the king, asking him to stop the building of the temple. But just when it looked like the enemy had won, God showed the Israelites he was greater than their foes. Because through a strange turn of events, the Lord arranged for Israel’s enemies to payfor the rebuilding! So, friend, if you feel God’s provided an opportunity and it hasn’t come through, don’t lose heart. Remember, there will be twists and turns and an ending that may well surprise even you.
