Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with a word of encouragement from my friend Joe Joe. You see, Joe Joe is only six years old, and he uses a wheelchair, but he has the biggest, most beautiful smile. And if you ever ask this boy his favorite Bible verse, Joe Joe always replies: “Oh it’s Psalm 147. ‘God does not take delight in the strength of the horse; he takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord delights in those who fear him, in those who hope in his mercy.’” Oh, my goodness, this kid is only six years old, yet he understands that it’s not about whether we’re strong or handsome or have the best grades or have the most picture-perfect Martha Stewart home.
