Spreading the Gospel brings true healing to yourself and others.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Jesus made a very curious statement in John 14, “Anyone who has faith in Me will do even greater things than these.” We think He was talking about physical miracles, like, “Hey guys, I’m healing people left, right and center and one day you will do more healings than I do.” But there is no historical evidence for such a thing. So, what are the “greater things” Jesus was talking about? Well, consider this: at the close of His public ministry, Jesus only had a handful of disciples who half-believed in Him. But after the Lord ascended into heaven, one sermon was preached and thousands came to faith. The “greater things” Jesus was talking about was not more or better healings, but a greater advancement of His gospel. And there’s much historical evidence for that. So today, get about doing a greater thing; spread the Gospel. Because it’s what brings true healing.
