Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Psalm 127 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord”—and that includes all children—disabled, unborn, ill, boy or girl. But in America alone, 4 in 10 children are aborted, many because they were diagnosed with disorders like Down syndrome. My heart breaks when I see the escalating statistics of unborn children with disabilities being aborted and abandoned. So, how can we as Christians make a difference? First, let’s pray for God’s truth to speak louder than the lies of our culture. Then, let’s align our view on life with the word of God. Third, we can reach out to mothers and fathers wrestling with the diagnosis of a child with a disability.
