Rejoice in every day, giving Jesus the glory for good times and bad – all things come from his loving hand!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I sometimes imagine God looking at us and thinking, “This is a strange lot I created.” I mean, take our reaction to the weather. We delight in enjoying a beautiful, warm afternoon with gentle breezes. But how often do we express our gratitude to Jesus for great weather? Oh, but it’s another story if hurricanes and floods come our way – then we go to God, but often just to complain. Good weather or bad, the Bible says, “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Friend, the Lord has made every day, and if we fail to give him the glory on sunny days, how will we praise him when the highways are slippery with rain and our flight is cancelled due to a blizzard? This is why we need to start rejoicing every day, giving Jesus the glory for good times and bad, knowing that all things come from his hand. This is our Father’s world, and rain or shine, let’s rejoice!
