Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada—the lady who loves to sing. People wonder why I know so many Lutheran hymns and old Sunday School songs. Well, it’s because my mother was always singing doing housework, driving in the car. Mom would be singing. And you know what? Now many years later, it is one of the things that just comes naturally for me. What’s more, it’s those biblical hymns that keep me going when days are hard or when temptation creeps in. Second Timothy 3 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” So, why not provide the children in your life with biblical songs that you learned as a child – good songs, doctrinal songs?
