Think of ways to be encouraging to others in a creative way!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. I remember once being at a bookstore autograph party – I had been signing books all morning, holding the pen in my teeth. My neck was aching and I couldn't go back to the hotel for several more hours, and there were at least seventy‑five people still in line. That’s when a young man stepped up, opened his book and said, “Joni, I bet your mouth is tired of holding that pen,” to which I nodded ‘yes.’ That’s when he pulled out a tiny spray dispenser of Binaca mouthwash. I opened my mouth, he gave a squirt, it tasted great. The break in the routine, the laughter, that little bit of creative thinking were all I needed to perk up my spirits. Isaiah 50:4 says that God will give us words to sustain the weary. Friend, encouraging others costs no more than a bit of time, yet who can put a price on its value?! So, today, be creative in your encouragement and pass on the good words of Isaiah 50:4.
