Pastor Andy shared with me a story about his little boy, Jonah, who [because of a serious neurological problem and terrible seizures] had to have the left side of his brain removed. It was a difficult surgery, and Andy and his wife April wondered if when Jonah woke up, he would be the same person. Well, when that little boy woke up 24 hours later in ICU, he looked terrible. But the first thing that child did was to give a big smile of recognition to his daddy, and then he reached for his mommy’s bracelet [something he always liked to do]. What many would say is a medical marvel was, for God, one of his daily miracles. It’s an Ephesians 5 kind of miracle – God doing more than we could possibly ask or imagine.
