You can do everything through Jesus who gives you strength.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. I always admire the innocence and tenderness of so many young people—especially people like Corie who is 19 and has Down syndrome. I met Corie at a Family Retreat where she fearlessly climbed a climbing wall and was encouraging others to do the same. However, Heather [another girl with Down syndrome], was at the bottom of the rock climb absolutely terrified. And so, Corrie, slipping an arm around her friend, said in her slurred yet gentle speech, “Okay it is, Headder. The wall won’t hurt you.” That was all Heather needed to hear! And perhaps it’s what you need to hear today, too. If you are facing an intimidating wall right now—a medical problem, an unexpected bill, a strained relationship—God has a purpose and knows all about that wall you're facing. Look up, and take heart and say, “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”
