The key to being hopeful is trusting in the Lord – your blessed hope.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I sure love being around hopeful people – hopeful Christians! Trouble is, even followers of Jesus find their hopes deflating in today’s culture. We end up as anxious and discouraged as the world around us. It’s why the Bible says we need to set our minds on things above. Christian hope is the wonderful assurance that we are a part of God's family, we have a mission to accomplish on earth, and we’re heading to heaven where all sorrow, sin, suffering and shame will soon be a thing of the past. How can a Christian foster hope like that? Romans 15:13 tells us simply, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Spirit.”Hope overflows as we trust in Jesus. The key to being hopeful is trusting in the Lord, our Blessed Hope. And friend, I pray Christ will be your hope today.
