Today, think about ways in which you can go the extra mile for a friend.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I love the passage in Ecclesiastes 4 that says, “two are better than one…for if they fall, one can help the other.” Well, this verse reminds me of two teenagers, Breanna and Amy, who met at our Joni and Friends Family Retreat. You see, Breanna has spina bifida and one day at camp, she noticed that Amy, who is deaf, constantly needed her interpreter to assist her. Being disabled, Breanna knows any bit of independence matters, and so, she signed up to take college classes to learn American Sign Language! And now she and Amy can communicate as all friends do! Amy was so impressed that her friend made such an effort and really took extra steps to deepen their friendship. So, today, think about ways in which you can go the extra mile for a friend.
