No matter what you’re going through today, encourage a friend in need.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Not long ago, I received an email from a woman named Margie—Margie has multiple sclerosis and lives in a care facility, and she loves listening to my radio program. And so, Margie wrote me saying, “Joni … My friend Momo also lives in a residential care facility—she’s been having a lot of back pain, and I just know she needs encouragement. But your radio show is not broadcast in her area. So, every day, when your program is about to go on the air, I ask the nurse to please help me turn on my radio, give Momo a call, and then put the phone right by the radio so Momo can hear your message.” Oh, I love that; God bless Margie for doing that! Hebrews 3 says, “Encourage one another daily”—and that’s a good word for all of us. So today, no matter what your struggles or limitations, be like Margie and encourage a friend in need.
