Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I love it when public school kids think creatively about sharing their faith with classmates. When Ryleigh Farmer chose to depict me as her historical hero for a school project, it gave her the chance to share Jesus in her public-school classroom. She prepared with excellence, memorizing her entire presentation, and even dressing up like me with a wig and all, and gave her report sitting in a wheelchair. Ryleigh did not hold back about all the things God had done in my life. She saw an opportunity to share Jesus with her classmates and she took it. Who knows how many young friends of hers might now read the Joni book?! And it’s why I commended this young girl. I commended her from 1 Timothy where it says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, set an example...” And today, Ryleigh has set us an example. May her example inspire you to be bold in sharing Jesus.
