Your Prince of Peace has already come and promises you a happily ever after. Life can be a fairytale with God in your life.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And my Daddy used to read fairytales to me and my sisters at bedtime [and oh, I wish I still had that big, old red fairytale book!]. I love the part at the end, where he would always say, “And they lived happily ever after.” I never had to ask my daddy what that meant. Every child and adult knows what “happily ever after” means. We know because Ecclesiastes 3:11 explains that “[God] has also set eternity in the hearts of men.” Oh, friend God has placed within us a strong sense of “happily ever after,” and yet it says, we “… cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end” [Ecclesiastes 3:11]. What a struggle; what tension! You were madefor eternity, but you were also made for earth – and earth is anything but a fairytale. But the Prince has kissed you with his peace, and he has promised that together, with him, one day you will live happily ever after.
