When you use God’s language – that is, his Word, you’ll have a more glorious perspective in prayer. From here on out, speak the language God loves to hear. It makes for powerful praying!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Have you ever struggled with what to say when you go before God in prayer? I know I have. And It’s why I always try to include Bible verses in my prayers. Because after all, what better way to pray than to use Gods own words? How do you do that? Well first, read portions of God’s Word – the Psalms are a great place to start. Then, meditate on a particular truth you can use later in your prayers. Lastly, form a personal prayer. Let’s say you’re dealing with aches and pains of old age. Well, read Psalm 90 and pray, “Lord, sometimes I wonder how much longer I must suffer. Teach me to number my days and make me glad in my affliction.” Friend, when you use God’s language – that is, his Word, you’ll have a more glorious perspective in prayer. From here on out, speak the language God loves to hear. It makes for powerful praying!
