The more you behold Jesus and all that he has done, the more you will be transfixed by his loveliness. You will be radiant with joy because you will be transformed!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and Psalm 34 says, “Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy.” Is that a great verse, or what?! And it’s true. When we behold Jesus; when we meditate on all that he did on his cross; when we contemplate his mercy and forgiving heart; when we marvel at Christ like that, we cannot help but be radiant. After all, beholding Jesus is what changes us; it transforms us just as 2 Corinthians 3 says, for “beholding the glory of the Lord, [we] are being transformed from one degree of glory to another.” We grow happier, more content, more satisfied; we smile in the face of suffering; we begin to look more like Christ. The more we behold Jesus and all that he has done, the more we will be transfixed by his loveliness. We will be radiant with joy because we will be transformed.
