Don’t lose hope because Jesus loves a search and rescue. And He’s not about to give up on your lost loved one.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When someone goes missing, people spring into action, don’t they? Search and rescue teams conduct strategic pursuits. They’ve been trained to search thoroughly, to not overlook anything. Night and day they search and they do not give up easily. In the parable of the lost sheep, Jesus tells us about the shepherd who goes searching. Now, I used to picture him wandering the grassy knolls glancing here and there. But that does not really depict the shepherd’s quest. No, instead he’s pursuing, he’s uncovering brush, he’s tracking down and doing whatever it takes to recover that lost sheep. Do you have a loved one who has wandered away from Christ? Remember what Jesus said in Luke 15, “… He goes after the lost sheep until He finds it.” So don’t lose hope, friend. Jesus is into search and rescue. And He’s not about to give up on your lost loved one.
