Today, help someone see how wonderful Jesus is by bestowing on them a blessing.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And the other day a friend stopped by my office and when he left, he said, “God bless you, Joni.” And my immediate response was to say, “And I receive it!” What’s more, I meant it. Like you, I want to make certain that I keep my heart receptive toward any blessing from God. And often, God imparts that special grace when he prompts another Christian to speak a blessing over us. I mean, just look at Numbers 6. There the Lord tells Aaron and his sons to bless the Israelites by saying, “May the Lord make his face to shine upon you.” I love that. Because 2 Corinthians 4 says that God has given us “the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” So, to be blessed is to glimpse the glories of Christ. So today, help someone see how wonderful Jesus is – and you can do it by bestowing on them a blessing.
