Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and my sister Linda was something else when she was a teenager. It would be Friday night and Linda would cozy up to Daddy to give him a hug. She’d ask if he’d want ice cream from the freezer or offer to get the paper for him. The night was still early, and she was all dressed up, ready to ask him for some extra change to go out with her friends. Oh, Daddy knew what my sister was up to, but even though Linda came to my dad for all the wrong motives, my father loved her anyway. Maybe she didn’t receive money, but she received Daddy’s love. And it’s just the way our Heavenly Father loves us. Yes, God knows our sins, but just like the father of the prodigal son, our Father’s love for his wayward children is boundless.
