Remember, when you give words of encouragement, you are speaking on behalf of God. Be a channel of his grace today.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Thirty-some times in the New Testament, we read of things we are to “do for one another.” Be kind to one another. Love one another. Pray for one another. Build up, exhort one another. And in that list is to “encourage one another,” as it says in Hebrews 3. And remember, when you give words of encouragement, you are speaking on behalf of God; you are his ambassador of encouragement; because Romans 15 calls the Lord the “God of endurance and encouragement.” And when we represent him with our words of courage to others, we actually become a channel of his grace to those he wants to bless. So, let me spur you on today toward words of courage and comfort. Find someone, find a “one another” to whom you can be kind or build up. And when you do, you’ll be a channel of grace to those who need God's help the most.
