If there’s something you’re afraid of, remember, God loves you; he cares for you – and in him, you can do everything he calls you to do.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When Florine’s husband died, her grandson Thomas told her he wanted to sing for “PopPop” at the memorial service. To Florine, this was quite a surprise because Thomas has autism, and he doesn’t do to well with large crowds. Well, the day of the memorial service came, Thomas walked to the front looking very scared and Florine thought, “Oh no, he’s not going to be able to do this!” But then, Thomas smiled and began belting out “Jesus Loves Me” loud and clear. Florine had never been so proud in her life. So, how did Thomas do it? Well, maybe he held onto 1 Peter 5:7; “Cast all of your anxieties upon the Lord, because he cares for you.” Thomas believed what he sang, and it’s what helped this young man get past his nerves. Hey, if there’s something you’re afraid of today, remember, God loves you; he cares for you – and in him, you can do everything he calls you to do.
