What is the measure of your love? It’s always measured by how much you’re happy to give.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. I have a friend who helps me get up in the morning and after she sends me off to work, she likes to go into my backyard to check the rose bushes for flowers to put in my bedroom. Her thoughtfulness reminds me that love is always looking for a way to give and serve. Love never thinks in terms of “how little” it can get away with giving, but “how much” it can give. Love is all about more, not less. And this is the way God shows his love to us. When the Father came up with a plan to redeem us from our sin, he didn’t think of less, he thought of more and went the extra mile. God’s love was extravagant in the price it was willing to pay, the time it was willing to give, and the hardships it was willing to endure. Proof of that is the cross. What is the measure of yourlove? It’s always measured by how much you’re happy to give.
