A Moment with Joni Eareckson Tada

Collapse in His Arms

Episode Summary

When you grow weary and collapse in someone’s arms, that’s an image of your Savior carrying you through life’s challenges.

Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. At the age of 14, Kayla was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis: a disease in which the body’s immune system attacks its own nerve cells. But MS has not held Kayla back. Today, with her disease in remission, she is able to run college track and cross country. And when Kayla’s legs give out after a run, she can trust that her coach is going to be at the finish line, ready to catch her before she falls. Now, maybe you don’t have MS, but you may very well lack the strength to run this race called ‘life’. If that’s you, take courage from God’s promise in Isaiah 46, where he says, “I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” Think about Kayla collapsing into her coach’s arms when her legs grow weary. If you got that image, it’s a picture of you as your Savior carries you through life’s every challenge.
