The Lord will use you to help prepare and comfort someone for hard times ahead.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and recently, Ken and I were stunned to learn the details behind a tragic car accident involving a man named Frank and Carmen, his wife. While Frank was driving, Carmen was in the passenger seat reading aloud my book, “Joni and Ken: An Untold Love Story.” When suddenly, another car hit the side of their vehicle and it rolled over several times, leaving Frank a quadriplegic. With tears, Carmen kept repeating to Ken and me how God used our book to prepare her—prepare them both—for the new challenges of ‘marriage with a disability.’ Oh friend, you may be going through some tough times now, wondering what ‘good’ God can make out of life’s mess, but keep your head up: the Lord may use you [like he used Ken and me] to help prepare someone else for hard times ahead—to comfort others, with the comfort that you’ve received from Jesus Christ.
