Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And have you ever wanted to do something, but you’re not sure that you’re able to do it? Katie felt called to minister to people with disabilities in Africa, but wondered if that was even possible. You see, Katie has a rare form of muscular dystrophy, and she knew traveling throughout Africa would be no easy feat. So, what did Katie do? First, she prayed to God, trusting in Proverbs 16 that says, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Then, she did her research – she learned about logistics, accessibility, and sure enough, the opportunity opened for her to intern with our disability ministry in Uganda.
