Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. A few months ago, I got to see my friend Muni who was visiting from India to attend our Global Access Conference—that conference was a big gathering of disability leaders from around the world hosted by Joni and Friends. It was such a blessing to worship alongside this joy-filled man, especially considering his dire circumstances growing up in India. You see, Muni contracted polio at the age of three. And he used to drag himself down India’s dirt roads. But through the help of Christian missionaries, Muni was introduced to Jesus, and to a life filled with hope and purpose—and today Muni serves as a ministry partner of Joni and Friends helping us reach other people with disabilities in his country.
