Even on your craziest and busiest of days – make sure you stop and take some time to give thanks to God for everything! It’ll really change your perspective for good.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and the other day at work was crazy. I was in one meeting, then had to be pulled out of it for a different meeting, then a phone interview, then there were a few guests who stopped by my office, then back to my computer to hurry and meet a deadline. After work, I was bushed. When Ken picked me up to drive me home, I told him about my crazy-busy day. And he paused after listening to my litany and said with a grin, “But you’re not bedridden, are you?” Immediately, I understood what he meant and happily answered, “You’re absolutely right; I am not bedridden!” “And I don’t have cancer anymore, at least I don’t think. And I don’t have pneumonia. I haven’t broken a bone today. I have a job and friends and a good home and I am grateful!” And guess what? I meant it. It’s why Ephesians 5 says to give thanks in everything. Even for a crazy-busy day.
