The grace of God is always flowing, always constant, always cascading – just like the Bible describes it.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And once when I was visiting Niagara Falls, we stayed long past sunset to watch the colorful lights illuminate Horseshoe Falls. Later back at our hotel, I was just about to drift off to sleep, I thought about how those cascading waters enthralled thousands all day long and into the night. But when the lights were turned off, when the city went to sleep, when all was quiet, and everything stopped – those mighty falls didn’t. They continued to flow, with just as much force as during the day. I smiled; because to me, it was so much like the grace of God. Always flowing, always constant, always cascading – just like the Bible describes it: “grace upon grace.” So, take heart today from these words by John Blanchard: “For daily needs there is daily grace; for sudden needs, sudden grace; and for overwhelming needs, overwhelming grace.” A little like Niagara Falls!
