Pray the words of Acts 4.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. My friend Molly shared that while talking with friends, the topic of physician-assisted suicide came up. Molly gave her perspective – that is, that life is a God-given gift and that patients should not be hurried or rushed toward death. But even though Molly’s friends are Christians, they felt that she was being too rigid in her beliefs, too much of a “Pharisee.” Oh friend, the topic of assisted suicide is a dark and dangerous one, but God’s Word does have answers. The world is asking questions, and as followers of Jesus we should be ready to defend our faith and its application on tough issues. To help you, we’ve put together resources on our Christian Institute on Disability page at joniandfriends.org. And finally, as you defend life, I pray the words of Acts 4 over you: “Lord… enable your servant to speak your word with great boldness.”
