A Moment with Joni Eareckson Tada

Demonstrate It!

Episode Summary

It’s not enough to wish a person well or preach the Gospel—show it through your works and actions too.

Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Celia lives in Africa and her child, Akua, is a little girl with significant brain damage. For years, Celia had been carrying her daughter, and her back was getting tired—but her heart was also heavy. It’s not easy raising a disabled child in Africa. But all that changed when our Wheels for the World team fitted little Akua to her first wheelchair. You should have seen the relief and joy on her mother’s face. She said, “I have heard the story of Jesus’s love before. But today I heard it again. And also today, I have believed it because today I have seen it.” James 2 tells us that it’s not enough to wish a person well or preach the Gospel—we have to demonstrate it through our works and deeds. Love is always practical, so join us in sharing the love of Jesus in really practical ways by visiting our Wheels for the World page at joniradio.org.
