The weaker you are, the harder you lean on Jesus, and the stronger you discover him to be. Let this comfort infuse heavenly hope and divine courage into your heart today.
I don’t know what you’re facing today, but please know that God has not abandoned you. Hi, I’m Joni, and today I want to offer you a word of Christian comfort. Now, Christian comfort is not when you just listen to someone’s troubles or empathize with their disappointment and feel their pain. Rather, the kind of comfort that a Christian should offer should make hurting people stronger to endure. It’s comfort that should forge iron into someone’s soul. It puts steel into their faith. Paul says in 2 Corinthians, “For when we… are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure.” Friend, the comfort that a Christian gives helps others patiently endure. It infuses heavenly hope and divine courage into the heart. Listen, the weaker you are, the harder you lean on Jesus; and the harder you lean on him, the stronger you discover him to be.
