Don’t wait until it’s too late to bless someone today.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I'm sure you know the story of the woman who broke the alabaster jar of perfume and poured it on Jesus. The disciples scolded her, but Jesus commended her. He told the disciples, “She has done a beautiful thing; for she has anointed my body for burial.” And just a few days later after Jesus died at least three women went to the empty tomb with spices to anoint His body. But Jesus was gone. They missed the opportunity. Friend, there’s a simple lesson here. Let’s bless the body of Christ today, right now, in the land of the living. Let’s not miss an opportunity to delight Jesus by encouraging His people. Proverbs 3 says, “Do not withhold good… when it is in your power to act.” Think about who you can bless today. And don’t wait until it’s too late and you’ve missed the chance. You’ve got the power to act, so do good now.
