If you don’t understand something, press in close to Jesus – you will be surprised at what you learn!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And you know when you hear a great speaker, how you just have to stick around and ask him a question or two, hoping to learn more, to go deeper? Well, Mark 4 says there was a large crowd gathered around the Lord, listening to him speak about the parable of the sower. After Jesus was done, you can imagine most people went back home perplexed. Parables are like that, right? But in the 10th verse it says, “When Jesus was alone, the twelve disciples and the others asked Him about the parable. And He told them, ‘The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you.’” And there, away from the crowd, deeper truths were revealed. Oh friend, don’t be like the one who is quick to leave. If you don’t understand something, stay near, stay close to Jesus. Because when you do, you will be surprised at the secrets of the kingdom that you will learn!
