Dreams come and go, but God’s plans are eternal.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I still remember a letter I received from a woman named Noemi. She told me her husband had suffered a traumatic brain injury while they were still raising their two little girls. At first, Noemi felt her dreams of a “perfect” family were crushed. But with time, Noemi realized her hopes and aspirations weren’t everything. Because God's designs have surpassed her dreams and now her marriage has depth, maturity and character. All because of her husband’s disability. Friend, maybe you had a career that was stopped short by a devastating car accident or you’ve learned your paralyzed son will never again play football. If so, let me remind you of the Lord’s promise in Jeremiah 29; God has “plans to give you a future and a hope.” Dreams come and go and fade away, but God’s plans are eternal and, as Noemi said, they surpass any dream.
