God is present in every trial. Hang in there – he’s always there with help and hope.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I tell you, nothing is more suffocating, more soul stifling than the feeling of hopelessness. When you’ve tried every option, it’s despairing to think that you’ve come to the end of your rope with no aid in sight. But listen to Psalm 46; it says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” That marvelous verse assures that not only is the help of God available and accessible at all times, but God himself is the always-present help in every trial. So don’t be thinking God is off somewhere – don’t be easy prey for the adversary’s lies. God is not a casual observer, standing at an arms-length distance from your pain. Remember, God doesn’t just offer you a helping hand; Jesus himself is your help. So hang in there, friend. God is there, he is with you, he is always present with help and hope.
