Faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. The Bible speaks of great faith, but it also speaks far more about little faith. Take Matthew 17 where Jesus chides the disciples for exhibiting such small faith. He then tells them something very fascinating. Jesus inasmuch says, “Why, if your faith were as small as a grain of mustard seed, you could do anything!” It’s interesting that he did not compare little faith with great faith; rather, he compared small faith with tiny mustard seed-sized faith. He compares small with small. But faith that is, at least, the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. I flipped back a few chapters in Matthew and read that though the mustard seed is tiny, it grows into one of the largest trees in a garden. And the key word there is grow. Your faith may be small, but keep persevering; keep growing; keep obeying, and soon your small faith will be greater than you think.
