Don’t be so quick to put God in a box, he may have some big surprises in store for you!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And back in 1977, my friend Charlie Wedemeyer was diagnosed with ALS, an incurable disease that attacks the nervous system and destroys the ability to control muscles. It was a hard hit for the man who had been a Michigan State football star and head coach of a successful high school football team. Even harder was to hear that he only had one year to live. But Charlie defied the odds, battling ALS for more than 30 years. Charlie is now with the Lord, but his life is a constant reminder of Isaiah 55, where it says, “[God’s] ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” Charlie thought he only had a year and God gave him 30. So, friend, if you are dealing with cancer, or a lost job, or a rebellious child, don’t be quick to box God in. He may have big surprises in store for you. And feel free to share this program with your friends and visit joniradio.org.
