What choices can you make now that will increase your capacity for joy in heaven? Set your mind on things above.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with a Christian word of advice. Every morning when you wake up and look out on your day, be intentional about making choices that will increase your capacity for joy, service, and worship in heaven. And if your day is filled with suffering or hardship, then know that God will reward you for your perseverance, endurance, self-control, and long-suffering. Oh, friend, the point is, heaven is the bottom line for all Christians and it’s why Colossians says, “Strive for the things above, where Christ is seated… set your minds on things above.” You see, our life here must be interpreted in light of eternity, and so, every day, in every situation, learn to ask yourself, “What can I do here to show God that I love and honor Christ?” Our lives are short, so start living in light of eternity; it’ll make heaven all the more a wonderful place to be.
