Whether it’s in your marriage, school, work, or whatever – keep your focus on “The Big Picture.” Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I am so grateful to God for my husband, Ken. Yes, my disability has made our marriage hard, but oh, so rich. As Dr. Dobson says, "A good marriage is not where perfection reigns; it is where a healthy perspective constantly overlooks a multitude of 'unresolvables.'" Do you know what Ken and I call that “healthy perspective?” We call it keeping "The Big Picture" – in other words, we’re not going to sweat the small stuff. Let’s believe our “unresolvables” will teach us to be flexible, learn how to defer to one another, and push us closer to Jesus. It’s why James 1 tells us to “Count it all joy … when [we] meet trials of various kinds” – that means the small stuff and the big stuff. So friend, whether it’s in your marriage, school, work, whatever – keep your focus on “The Big Picture” – and you just might resolve a few unresolvables.
